Clean sites and bathhouse. Lots of families here. This is true Old Florida, with lots of old water oaks, Spanish moss, sandy sand, and shade. Helpful hosts too. We camped here over New Years and I have tell you, they were very strict about the fireworks ban. It made for a lovely and quiet visit. We come here about twice a year from GA, and we actually prefer this campground over the chaos in Destin.

This was our first stay at Meaher but it won't be.the last. Helpful, friendly hosts. Spectacular sunsets. Close to both Mobile and Daphne. It was pretty cold when were here, so we didn't have any ants. This would be a great place to winter over.

What a wonderful campground! Sites are clean and fairly private. Most sites are wooded, all have fire rings. Some sites are unlevel, so pack your blocks. There are two nice playgrounds on site and horseback riding for an extra fee. Hayride on Saturday nights. Wi-Fi is very strong up at the main building, spotty through the rest of the park. Laundry facilities available too.

We love this park. It is woodsy and the sites are fairly private. Every site has a nice fire ring. We went during the week and had the park virtually to ourselves. We stayed in site 44, a level pull-through right on the lake. We even had a small trail down to a small, quiet cove where we could go swimming every day. There is also a sandy swimming beach that is roped off for safety. This is a very relaxing place for a long or short getaway.

This campground was delightful! I had no idea that Florida had caves, but they have a very nice one on-site. The cavern is somewhat strenuous--there are 45 steps down to the entrance. The ceiling is low and the walkway is often wet. If you have trouble bending down low (like 4 feet!) then you might just want to watch the video in the exhibits. The sites are wooded and fairly private. Most of the sites are not paved, so when it rains it is muddy. That didn't bother us but the couple next to us never stopped complaining about the mud puddles. There are walking trails through the dense woods, a nice meadow to play in, and lovely swamps all around. We didn't see any wildlife, but I'm sure they were there--it's Florida. The spring on-site has been closed by the health department, so there is no swimming. But you can go to nearby Blue Springs to swim in the beautiful blue spring-fed pool, if you can stand it--it's 68 degrees! The bathhouses are large and clean. The water is very tasty--I've never had good tasting water in Florida so that was a big surprise. We didn't have cable there, so I think we got 3-4 channels. Bring your DVDs. We will camp here again.

We stayed here on our way home to Atlanta when we couldn't drive anymore. This campground was an unexpected delight! It's an older place with some permanents, but the water is good and there were plenty of pull-throughs for us to overnight in. In fact, we pulled into one of the hilltop sites overlooking the ball fields and were treated to softball games for several hours. Some people might think that is a negative, but we loved sitting up there with a bird's-eye view eating our dinner and cheering them on. Dinner and a show! Cable TV was good, the laundry room is well-lit and in working order, the restrooms are very clean, there are kitties to be played with. And the owner couldn't have been nicer. The $20 fee includes $2 for cable TV. I don't know that I'd choose this park as a destination unless I were going to a football game. But it fit the bill for our one night. And once the games were over around 10:30pm it was nice and quiet. We will definitely keep this place on our list
