Not enough toilets. 55 camping sites and only 3 men's toilets (no urinals). Wife says only 4 women's toilets. The RV sites are very, very small. They tell you that you are getting site that backs on to the river, but an 8 foot berm of dirt is what you back on to. Very close to Arches NP entry. Clean and well maintained.
Very dark, dank campground. Poorly marked sites and roads. All sandy as if it had been flooded recently. Staff were OK, but not really interested in our business. Very poor wifi coverage and SLOW. very little grounds maintenance, trash disposal only at entrance. I will not go back here again.
We stayed here four nights. Great hiking right from the camp or a short drive. Great view of the bay from a road up the hill within the camp. Friendly staff. The sites are not level, so bring lots of leveling blocks.
Very unhelpful staff, dirty facilities, small tight campsites. They advertise free internet, but they give you one hour free and then charge $5 per day. Intentionally misleading advertising. Very overpriced for the condition of the facilities and lack of space. This is the second or third worst camp we have stayed in.
A very nice park inside a state park. Lots of activities for kids. We particularly liked the dog run area. A giant fenced in area on the lake with 50 dogs and lots of nice people when we were there. We enjoyed our stay and got our money's worth.
A GEM!!! One of the best sites we have ever stayed at. Quiet, spacious, beautiful. It is off the beaten track. Very spotty cellphone coverage (mostly none), no TV or internet. If you don't mind that, go here. Cheap boat rentals and lots and lots of alligators in the swamp. I boated there 3 days and loved every minute. Very helpful staff. Bring all the food you need, it's 17 miles to nearest convenience store. No campfires allowed currently because it is VERY dry (lake is down 2 feet+).
Camp opens mid April, we are here in first week this season. Only one bathroom open and heated, but the camp is very empty. Very nice facilities and a very helpful and friendly owner. Pull through spaces are fairly level gravel. Everything is well maintained. A beautiful public park just across the street makes it a short walk to lake Erie. We would come here again.
This was a treasure. We got a spot in the open (hot), but with an outstanding view of the dunes and the bay. It was a short walk to a beautiful stretch of beach that was always empty and clean. We would do this one again, even though it was more primitive than we normally like.
This is a very nice park on the Great Smoky side of the town. Very little interaction with the office, but none was really needed. Our space was a little short, but all facilities were adequate and a very good value. This camp is near the main road but pretty quiet and isolated from traffic noise. Do not camp in this town (unintentionally) during any of their car shows. There are at least 7 this year, and we waited in traffic for an hour coming back from Great Smoky hiking on Saturday, a traffic jam of 2-3 miles outside of town.
