Sorry, we will not return to this CG. Staff was not very nice. Manager was curt, prices were higher than the value we received, the sites are not level, food in the cafe was fair, but again, pricy for the value, no pool (unless you want to pay $14.00 for an outdated "waterpark"). Very large marina. It seems they are more interested in keeping the boat people content than the campers. After 2 nights, we moved down the road to the Army Corps of Engineers campground. Very nice, VERY clean and very cordial staff. One more thing... for the 2 days we were there, we never got a smile out of any of the staff except once. A very nice young man stopped us and asked if we were enjoying our stay. It turns out he was a grass cutter. Thank you, young man. You deserve our appreciation. And, a promotion!
Not our best choice for a campground. The desk staff was quite indifferent when we asked questions. We checked in in the middle of a downpour, late (about 8:00 pm) and asked if anyone could show us to our campsite (we were never there before & the signage is very poor). The did offer to help us, but the drove their cart to the front of the site and said, "here it is" and left. Did not offer to help back in to a very narrow site, on a hill, located on a corner of the camp road. Fortunately, neighboring campers came to our rescue. Nothing much to do there. We decided there were nicer places to stay. Certainly where the staff is much more hospitable. We unfortunately will not return.
Nice park, but, it is pretty much in the center of a residential area, surrounded by an 8' wooden fence. Park was clean, staff was friendly and there was plenty to do. We just did not like opening our door to our camper and being able to look into someone's bedroom window of their home next door. There was a lot to do and the activities were well planned. If it were in a more country/wooded setting, we would definitely go back. Unfortunately, it's not.
The park is undergoing a conversion to Yogi. They are trying their best to do the work & keep their guests happy. We were told when we made the reservation that we may need an extension cord for our camper to plug in since they were revamping the electrical boxes. It turned out we did not need one, but several of our friends did. Not an issue. The property is clean. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The owners visited our site and asked for suggestions as to what we would like to see in their campground. They store is small, but had everything necessary with some fun things as well. We will go back again. We really want to see what these folks will do with this diamond in the rough. We had a great time on Labor Day Weekend. Thanks to all the staff...
This was the first campground we went to when we purchased our camper 3 years ago. We can't say enough about how much we enjoy it. Clean, comfortable, nice people, excellent staff. We don't have children, but the 5 other families we camp with do. The all seem to enjoy the campground very much. In reading the other reviews, I must say, I don't know where some of these other folks stayed, but in the 6 times we have been here in 2 years, it has been nothing but perfect. Traffic on the roads? Yes, there is some, but it's to be expected. Children not paying attention to where they are riding their bikes? Is that the campground's fault? Cloudy pool water? I have never seen it, but, our pool at home gets cloudy after heavy use and very hot weather. I don't want to disagree with anyone but, this is a well run campground. It's clean, well organized and staffed by good people. I run a resort hotel for a living and I can tell you, these people work hard at pleasing their guests. We will definitely be back again: and again! Thanks for a great stay!!
