Stayed here three nights. Hookups were in good condition. Sites fairly level. Plenty of room to walk the dog. Restrooms clean. Site used to be gravel or asphalt, it is now dirt. Park is quiet and shade on some of the sites. Check in was fairly easy, unless you are there when it is busy and room has to be made for the shuttle bus to turn around. A word of caution, don't leave your sewer hose out. We did and the ravens poked it full of holes while we were gone for the day. One suggestion would be for the Park to decide if they want the sites to be gravel or to pave them, because as they are, they are basically dirt and a pain with a dog.
I can see no reason not to give this RV park a 10, and I don't believe I have ever given a 10, maybe once. Anyway, I won't duplicate what already has been said. I agree with the previous postings. One thing that stood out was how clean the pool and hot tub were. Very enjoyable stay. Park is quiet at night. Well worth the money. Our rate reflects a Good Sam discount.
We stayed three nights in a pull through with full hookups. Interior roadways are paved. The site was fairly level and gravel. Beautiful surroundings at the park, but it is the only game in town. It was windy when we were there with blowing sand, but it is the desert. On the positive, grounds and facilities were well kept, but as a previous post stated, stray cat and dogs sometimes made it difficult to walk our dog. I reported this, but staff wasn't too concerned. Sites and roads tight for larger rigs. Fairly good restaurant down the road at the lodge about a half mile. Adequate. We would stay again as there is no alternative but to dry camp.
We stayed two nights in this very nice park. The rate reflects having to change our reservation which added an extra five bucks. Four full hook up sites. All nice with hookups in good condition and placed well. All the rest of the sites are dry but with plenty of room and picnic table and fire ring. The picnic table is on concrete. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Grassy area around the restroom/dish washing area. Nice touch. This state park is nicer than most private RV parks we have stayed. Lots of nice scenery and walking/hiking trails. We will be back.
Stayed two nights here. We had not stayed here before, so we decided to check it out since it's new. Paved roads with packed gravel sites. Hookups well placed. Long pull through sites. We wouldn't have had to unhook our towed from our 32 ft rig if we didn't want to. I didn't consider this park pet friendly. No bags available, all asphalt and gravel. No real place to walk the dog. It is also pricey for amenities available. Very small put put miniature golf, no grass anywhere, and no pool. Also rather noisy. We are familiar with other parks in Mesquite. Felt there are better choices available.
Stayed here three nights during Peach Days Celebration. Nice, well kept park. Roads are a bit tight but manageable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Roads are gravel, and some sites are gravel and some concrete. This was our second stay. We would stay again.
Stayed a total of two nights. Owners are always present and updating the park, and they went out of their way to be helpful. Wi-Fi was good. No cable but antennae TV was good. Hookups were in good shape. Would give it a 10, but for the gravel roads and sites, and KOA needs to come down on their price a little.
First experience with this park. Staff helpful and courteous, but didn't see much of them after check in. First site we were given had a 30 amp receptacle in such bad condition, I went back to check-in and told staff I needed another site and the 30 amp needed replacing. That's how dangerous it was. I was given another site, but I noticed afterwards another rig given my previous site. Our site was close to other sites around, but for one day it didn't matter because all four sites were flooded. Will stay in Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park Campground next time and stay in Hatch when we need full hookups.
This was our fourth stay. The first two were a good experience. The third stay we had to ask to move our site due to the noise and commotion in the site next to ours. The occupants of the next site were long term workers on the pipeline. This stay we again had to request a change of site due to the condition of our site and the one next to us occupied by another pipeline worker. Dog droppings all over the hook up side of our coach. Droppings on the lawn AND concrete pad. Large German Shepherd who menaced me while I unhooked to move. Later saw the same dog (off leash) viciously go after a kid running by. Reported the incident to staff. Courteous staff and helpful, but have seen a trend towards just taking money and less to maintaining park. Will not stay again.
An all right stop for overnight. Basically a gravel lot with hookups. This is typical of Rawlins. Sites were level with pretty good hookups. Wi-Fi was good. Looked like a lot of workers camping here, but that's pretty typical of Wyoming, too, and getting more typical in a lot of parks.
This was an overnight stop. Level gravel sites with hookups placed well. Wi-Fi was adequate. Problems with staff in their RV office. We made reservations the night before, but when we arrived staff said they didn't have them. Staff was a couple of teenagers. Noticed people going to the office and no one being there. Other than that adequate for a nights stay. Wouldn't stay again if I didn't have to, not because of the park, but for the price of gas in Sidney.
Used this park for an overnight stop. More than adequate. Well kept grounds. Sites level and gravel. Hookups in good shape and placed well. Limited full hookups. Our price was for full hookups with Good Sam discount. Highway noise very bad. Need air conditioner on and then its not entirely drowned out. Would use this park again.
Good place for an overnight stop. Hookups well placed and in good shape. Gravel sites that are level. The sites are close and tight. If the CG were full not sure how I would have maneuvered out of my site.
Good place for an overnight. This park is geared towards seasonal campers, but they do have a few overnight sites. Overnight sites are up front by the road and are fairly level and gravel. Hookups good and centrally located to site. Quiet because it is a little distance from the interstate. Would use it again if through the area.
We camped here before the previous year and would have rated it a 7 or 8 then, but no one told us and we didn't know about the adjacent stock car race track. If you can tolerate three hours of stock car racing noise, then this would be an okay RV park. I can speak only for Sunday which is the day we stayed. Not sure about the other days of the week. Otherwise the rest rooms were clean, the entrance road needs work, sites are large with good hookups, and as mentioned before there is interstate noise. Think I will pass this park up next trip, especially if its Sunday.
Nice RV park. We have stayed here five times before. Asphalt roads and concrete pads. Hookups are easy to use. Food at the clubhouse is fairly good. Have eaten pulled pork, pizza and breakfast. Laundry is only $.50. Can't give it a 10 because the WiFi and cable TV are poor.
This is the best RV park available in Kanab as far as we can see. It is adequate. Very close gravel sites. Everything is clean. I am surprised no one else has commented on the hook ups. The sewer and fresh water are too close together, and your neighbor's sewer hook up is right in your small picnic area. Also, the dumpster and doggy waste container need to be emptied more often. The last two stays for us have been across the street from the local housing project apartments. I would rather be by the highway. It is laid back, quiet (mostly) and friendly.
Gravel roads and gravel sites, that are fairly level. It was dusty during our stay and there were signs that it can be muddy if it rains. Sewer hook up is far to the rear of site. Not to well maintained for the price. There were dog droppings and pieces of old sewer hose. The stated rate of $35 was just the base rate. Park charged an extra outrageous $20 for our car and $2.50 for a cup of ice which was the same price for a fountain drink. $54.50 was the final cost for the site with a Good Sam discount. Not worth it and can't recommend this park. Only payed $20 the night before in Amarillo for a much nicer site in that RV park.
