Stayed for a weekend during off season as it was close to home and not full. Would not call it a "resort" type campground, as wife and I both said "rustic" in a good way as it reminded us of campgrounds growing up as kids. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful and helped get our cable working on a very rainy Sat. Sites seem about 50/50 seasonal/transient and are sand but have lots of privacy and space between the sites. The full hookups are on a loop at the back of the campground. We had no problem with our 38' MH getting in our site but others can be tight for that size rig. Main roads are asphalt gravel, others are sand. Walking our dogs around the campground the seasonal people there were all friendly and the bathrooms though didn't use them were clean. We will return

Nice quit campground during the time we spent there: Sunday- Wednesday, can't speak to the weekends. The staff was friendly and the pool area and hot tubs were nice. Pea gravel on the sites help keep the dirt down. Had no problem getting our 38' MH around the roads to our lower level, pull-through site. Only complaint: the roads are dirt and can get muddy after a rain.

Typical NJ shore area campground. Lots of seasonal sites, most had not arrived yet when we were there. Mostly dirt roads that did get dusty, would say campground was 1/3 occupied with the seasonals and weekenders like us when there. Site was large and had no problem getting to it or fitting with our 38 ft MH, though sites on either side were empty would say averge 30 ft. wide. Sites in the 500 section seemed easier for big rigs and a little larger. All had large pine or oak trees for shade and 50 amp electric/water(check website for sewer). Tuckerton Seaport is an interesting day trip for young and old. Very pet and kid friendly. Also for those with dogs that like water 1/4 mile south on rt 9 is Dock Rd that leads to a small sandy beach in Barneget Bay. We camped in site 208. Rates go up to $46 a night after Memorial day for full hookup.

The only thing that kept the rating from a 10 was the mosquitos and biting flys (though they were not as bad nearer the water out of the woods) and the amount of poison ivy that you had to be carefull of. We stayed in the full hookup Tulip Loop. The sites are spacious and wooded on fine gravel pads that keep the sand and dirt out of your RV. All sites have a nice fire ring with grill that we used to cook on. The 30 amp service was good as we had to run our AC all week due to heat and humidity. The roads are all paved. There is good crabing from the pier in Lake Conoy in the Hoffman loop. A sandy pet beach at the begining of the Causeway on the Bay side that we also used to cool down with our dog as was less crowded on weekends than the designated swimming beach on the Potomic River side. Fishing was also good off the Causway. Canoes and kyaks can be rented from the Camp Store. Day Trips can be taken to St Mary's City a recreation of the 1st Capital of Maryland in the 1600's. Pautexaunt Naval Air Base Museum and the Calvert Marine Museum on Soloman Island. All are within 25 miles of the park.
