I was lured in by the free camping, and then lost $300 on slots. RV camping is free at this location this year. Sites are back-in, grassy, and about 300 feet long. You may want to check-out early as non-observant casino customers begin parking their cars in front of the motorhomes, blocking you in. All that is available is 20 amp electric. There is no water, or dump station, or garbage can. This location only has the RV park, does not have a hotel. No reservations. Just pick a site, you don't have to register anything. We were the only camper here on a mid-July day. Convenient location to explore Manistique attractions. The lakeside parks in Manistique have fresh water springs so bring a jug if you want to get drinking water. A restaurant is available, but we didn't get a chance to try it. Free coffee and soda in the casino. We were on a casino camping tour, and this place is conveniently located between Kewadin St. Ignace, and Islands Casino near Escanaba. Casino is open til 3am, so you may hear some car doors during the night. Security is around, so we slept good.

A big resort in the middle of no-where. A nice campground not on Google maps. Did not even see a sign for the RV park by the road. In fact, the campground is hidden way in the back behind a row of trees, so we had to ask where it was. No sewer, no shade, wide sites, but tight turns. Simply pick any site, and go to the hotel desk to register. They do take credit card. Casino uses eastern time zone, even though it is technically in the central time zone. Unlike most casino camping, the RV section is tucked away from the parking lot so you won't be woken up by car doors all night long. Staying at the RV park gives you access to indoor pool and spa, if you don't mind walking through the casino lobby in your swimsuit. Free coffee and soda available in casino. Fireworks sold in the parking lot. RV park is not manned, so you can misbehave.

Rate reflects a monthly rate, electric is additional. Individual nightly rates are around $40. This place is a bit overpriced, but all other campgrounds were booked. As mentioned in other reviews, trees and turns make it difficult for big-rigs. Having said that, we have stayed at all the campgrounds in the area, and none of them are very big-rig friendly. Most people in the area own travel trailers and 5th wheels. Very few motor homes up here. All waterfront sites are occupied by permanent mobile homes so you won't get a waterfront site. Park is well kept, and the residents maintain their trailers very nice. The people living here are older. Nice swimming area, pier, diving platform on medium sized lake. Internet did not work. Boat launch nearby.

They got me! I was lured in by the $10 camping, and then spent $400 on slots. No reservations, cash only. Simply pick a site and go to the hotel desk to register and be sure to ask for a pool key. Then in the morning, come on in for free coffee or soft drinks, and play a few slots. Arrive early in the day as sites get pretty full. However ample parking in the lot is available for free if sites are taken. We were pleasantly surprised with this deal. Saved ourselves $30 per night by staying here instead of another local campground. Located just 2 miles outside downtown St. Ignace. Although it is not the most aesthetically pleasing campground (gravel sites are close together and have a view of the parking lot), there is some grass area behind the sites for your doggies. The 50 amp electrical boxes, and picnic tables look brand new. Not sure if they have a dump station. Staying here also gives you access to the hotel's indoor pool, spa, fitness room; although it is a long uphill walk to the building. No showers are available. It was quiet, and good security. Also the casino property is lakefront, so although the RV park has no view, you can walk to the lake. They also have a pretty good fish fry on Friday nights. Ladies sign up for a players card, and get $5 in credits on Fridays, and get a free hot dog on Wednesdays. They also have a shuttle that goes to St. Ignace and Mackinaw City. Wi-Fi available in casino or hotel but could not reach it from the campsites. There is no limit on how long you can stay. Its an affordable place to camp, but not really a place to take a family vacation. We would stay again for the location, price, pool, and casino perks.

This is a small size campground, but your big rigs will fit. The best deal here is either for 2 nights at the Passport America rate of $30, or a weekly rate of $200. Otherwise you will pay $60 on a night to night basis. (Includes tax and they do take credit cards.) 50 amp is an extra $25 a week, so all the campers were crammed in the 30 amp section because no one wants to pay for 50 amp. There is also a small motel on site. They do have showers for the campers, and a nice grassy area with gazebo, but that is it for entertainment. The strangest thing about the campground is the laundry. The men's room has a single washer/dryer, and the ladies room has a single washer/dryer. If you have 2 loads of laundry to do, your husband will have to help you. The other con of being on Grand Island is that you will have to pay a $1 toll every time you go anywhere. All in all, a decent deal for the location. Would stay here again, but a week in Niagra falls was tooo long.

Very nice campground at a steal of a deal. I believe the reason they are never that busy is because they are not listed on Google Maps when you do a search for RV parks. Neither are they listed in the Woodalls Directory. This is a great location minutes from everything. LOTS of space here. Flat, gravel, grass between sites. This is the only campground I've been to where they give you a second site to park your car. We also used a third site for the picnic table. Easy access dump and water station. Brand new shower building but a long walk. A little advertising would do some good here. Your seventh night is free.

Nightly rate represents a weekly rate for 50 amp site. Location very convenient to all area attractions. From here we were able to visit Hershey Park, Pennsylvania Dutch country, Gettysburg, factory tours in York, and do not miss the state capitol building in Harrisburg. This is the most elaborate state capitol building we have ever seen, adorned with gold, marble, stained glass, and other taxpayer funded extravagance. Anyway, the park was clean, shaded, well kept, nice pull throughs, and slightly more reasonably priced than campgrounds right in Hershey. They also have a booming RV storage business on site which we would take advantage of if ever needed. They also have propane, a playground, and an un-heated swimming pool. Sites have picnic tables and fire-pits.

With other nearby RV parks charging upwards of $70 a night, this conveniently located park is a steal. Big rigs can fit in the D loop, and the park is not at all crowded. This is a beautiful wooded park, and campground is about 2.5 miles deep into the park. But all city conveniences are located just outside the entrance. Most RVers apparently are turned off by the lack of any hook-ups. However the park is well shaded, so we didn't even need air conditioning. You can run your generator til 10pm. A dump/refill station is available. Self-register and pick a site. A mile walk to public transportation. We stayed 6 days and that wasn't even long enough to take in all the free museums and attractions in D.C. Free concerts every night at the Kennedy Center. The park has a 14 day limit.
