Park was clean, quiet, sites were level and gravel, water pressure good, hookups were in good locations and easy to reach. Earlier reviews were negative toward management..our experience was positive in this area...polite, helpful, explained amenities completely, price to value is great..$26.95 Good Sam rate is a WAY better deal than Blackwell Island at $50+ per night...Park was well shaded (satellite may be affected). WiFi was weak but worked. Restroom use required a cash deposit for key (didn't need to use). There was an occasional train, but wasn't overwhelmingly noisy from this...traffic noise, the same. Silverwood and shopping are just minutes away...will definitely stay here again...

Park was great. The sites being narrow as described in earlier reviews. Yes they are narrow, but not in a bad way. They are exactly what you need: nice little private patio area in each, just enough room to put slides out and awning on other side. If you have slides on both sides, your awning may not work. The water pressure good, not too high. The cable TV was good, Wi-Fi was a little weak in areas, but sufficient. Park is close to shopping, but far enough off of the beaten path to be quiet. Park is well kept, secure, has friendly owners and residents/users. The price is fair, amenities are great. Has a pool, nice grounds, paved roads, sewer dump, and the trash area is clean and sufficient. Will stay here again.

We came here to see Glacier Park, however the snow on the Going to the Sun road had ideas it was going to set the record for not coming off. It finally opened the following week AFTER we left (stayed here for a week during the 4th of July. The fireworks show at this park rivaled many "city" fireworks displays and was the best we have seen ever from a private party. Kudos to the owners of this park for putting it on! We took several red bus tours and enjoyed the visit to Glacier and Waterton Lakes (Canada) parks. Sites were very private/secluded, Wi-Fi was sufficient, electric, water and sewer hookups were well placed and easy to connect to. The bear proof trash cans were very easily and quickly filled, but management frequently emptied. There was also frequent drive byes by security patrol (much appreciated). The "stocked" trout pond was a disappointment, as we fished several times, and saw/caught nothing. No rises in the morning or evening. Water temp was in the 70's. Interior roads were all gravel, but most drivers took their time. Restrooms and laundry were immaculate and regularly cleaned. The store was well stocked. Park was close to the highway, but noise was not really noticeable. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice grassy sites, gravel interior roads, management very helpful with parking large RV's. A little noisy, but don't hear inside RV. Fire pits, clean showers/restrooms, pet area, quiet little town with gas/diesel available, IGA grocery store, ATM/bank available. Great stop over for bike trail, tourists stuff or just stop for night. Big rig accessible.

The other reviews from past are still right on. I have a big rig (40') and was told there was "plenty of room." The site was a back in, told there was a table and fire pit. Not there. One was "taken" from a rental house saying they weren't supposed to have one, and drug over to site. Rear of my RV was within one foot of the unit behind me. Driving in was an experience I will NEVER forget: inches between my new RV getting damaged. Had to wait to have several cars moved from semi permanent residences to get TO the site. My awning when extended, was a foot from the neighbors rig. I had to wait until 5 different tent/pickup campers to pack up and leave from the grassy area across from my RV, before I could carefully navigate out of the park. I did have an escort to guide me in, but no help out. Took me 15 minutes to get about 50 yards out. (After waiting over 2 hours for others to leave, so I could leave.) If you are tenting, or have a small pickup camper, this is an OK park. If you have a trailer or motorhome, look somewhere else. Great park they just pack way too much into: to make more $$$.

This park is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers and leased/operated by CLM (California Land Mgmt). At least up to last year. Now new stating the park will not be open for 2011. (Don't know if Army or CLM is dropping.) This was a top 100 family rated park in the US! Now closing? The spaces are all paved, well spaced, electric (30 amp only). A little short for hot summers, water and sewer available, as is fire pits, picnic tables and dumpsters close by. Firewood, ice, limited supplies available for fee. Clean restrooms/showers. (Coin op showers.) Great bass fishing at the park. Has free boat ramp for campers, large grassy areas for pets, kite flying, picnic lunches, tenting, etc. Very quiet, warm and clear skies, hiking. Signs in park say rattlesnakes are around. Have camped here for years and have not seen one. Snake river is a mile wide (or close to it). Only snake I have seen. Deer are frequently seen in park. Write to the Corps to keep open: so you can stay here and enjoy!

We had stayed here in the past when under previous ownership. The park was still "new" and under development. We saw "possibilities." This year, we acquired a fairly large RV (40ft class A diesel pusher) and planned a trip to stay here on the holiday weekend. We had exchanged several emails regarding what we had, wanted and what they offered. We set this up. Having started out late from home in SE WA (1st real trip in RV), we arrived late, keeping the managers informed via cell phone, and well after dark. I expected to have to sign in and find my own space and deal with it in the morning: nope! Didn't happen. I had an escort to my site, with lights and pretty good directions getting into my site and hooking up (pretty green at this). He was very helpful in person getting me hooked up for fly fishing (did well too), tourist activities/attractions, fishing tackle, etc., and was actually interested in how I did/where I went. When visiting the store, she was very helpful, polite and friendly. Site was perfect, level, had 50 amps and fire pit as requested. Watched fireworks from park and had a "natures firework show" (large thunder and lightning show) afterwards. My wife and I had a memorable time and will return next year. Couldn't ask for a better park, or camping experience anywhere: kudos!!!
