This park is in a very rural area of Connecticut. The sites are grass and not very level. I noticed mostly seasonal campers. We were there to visit family in Enfield, CT. Propane is available by appointment. No credit cards accepted, only cash and yes they did take my personal check. The showers were pay showers. No store.
At first we were concerned with this park. You can only see the office and gas pumps from the road. You enter the park via a steel bridge that is behind the park. As it turns out the sites are nice and clean and very level. The site we were in was level enough that we did not have to un-hook. The rest rooms and showers were very clean. This was an overnight stop.
There had been a lot of rain just before we got there, so the sites were quite wet, but because it was on a hill it had run off nicely. The camp was grass-covered and green. The owners friendly and helpful. The other campers were friendly as well. The childrens play areas were innovative and cute. The double-dump site was easily accessible and usable. The restroom facilities were quite new and very nice - probably an 8.5. There was also a large pavilion area that was available for bands and other entertainments. They had a band one night while we were there - great music and all seemed to having fun. Shut down totally at quiet time without any problems. I would definitely recommend this park if you are in the area.
Wow what a park! This place is huge. The showers were a 10+. Plenty of room in each stall. The staff was a little abrupt but we did not much contact with them. The Wi-Fi only worked at the front of the park, so I had to drive from my spot to the first spot in the park to get WiFi. It is located right on Lake Erie and that was great. I would definitely use this park again.
Sites were very close to each other. Had to back out of my site because of cars and trucks to close to make a turn out of the site. Very clean park. Staff didn't know how to fill a propane tank but we finely got it done. Provide pizza delivery to your site, I thought that was a good service. Would stay here again.
This was the 1st night stop over beginning our 5 week vacation. The staff was friendly and the park was clean. The only down side was the train tracks that were close and kept us from having a good nights sleep. Overall, we would stay there again if ever in that area.
We parked here during one of their "Windy" nights. The wind was 20-30mph. Our 5er would rock when the gusts hit. We were in spot #12 and the WI-FI did not reach our spot. Only 4 rows from the office. Cable was great. This was a 1 night stop over on our way home after a 5 week vacation. I would stay there again. However, I am not sure I will ever drive through Wy. again. Too windy.
