This is one of our favorite RV parks to visit. They are taking away more and more of the RV oceanfront spaces to put in Ocean front villas, which is going to limit the ocean front access. There are spots overlooking the water that are on level, concrete pads. They just added flood lights so you can see the waves and the beach even at night. There is a large, open club house with a full kitchen, pool table and work out room. Plenty of space to meet up with a group. No cell phone reception, but internet and Skype can make up for that. Great place to visit if you love the ocean because from your site you are surrounded by it. No better view at any other park we have stayed at.
Very clean, friendly park. Sites are both back in and pull through. They are level with grass on either side and easy to access. There is a playground and pool for family fun and two dog walk areas. The park is open, so not a lot of privacy, but the cleanliness more than makes up for it. Small mini-mart on site with perishables. Friendly staff. Very easy after hours check-in. Very nice place to stay.
This is a CASH only park, so be ready to pay to stay. It is a quiet park with great views of the stars at night. There is a nice area to walk your dog. Warning, this area is full of dog waste. Not sure who is not picking up after who, but watch your step. The sites are hard to back into when someone is across from you. The road is not wide, so not much maneuver room. There is a small, non perishable store on site and movies to rent. Management could be more professional. Walked into to hear one of the staff yelling profanities. It was interesting.
Nice location about 1/3 a mile from the beach, near Ritz Carlton golf course. Back in sites only, that aren't super level but clean. Staff is less than friendly. Not rude, just no normal courtesy-good morning, how can I help you, etc. Dog friendly with a grassy area to walk the dogs in. Check in is from 1-8p and don't be late. There are multiple signs that they do NOT check in folks after 8pm, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Like previous reviewers, units 1-34 are LOUD!!! They are right off Hwy 1 and even if you are not backing up to Hwy 1, they are still loud. The other side, 35 and higher is more reasonable noise. The after hours check-in is very easy, other than reading the numbers for the sites on the pavement which even with a flashlight was hard to do. However, while stating that they are dog friendly, there are only two areas of grass in the entire park and signs saying that this is not a dog walking area. Please take your dogs outside the park to walk them. Well, it is pitch dark at night and not convenient to walk outside the park. Rates are a little high for what you get, but the sites are level and privacy bushes on either side help keep you away from neighbors. Does look like they are trying to sell "Ocean cottages"-1/2 a mile from the ocean and that may be their new focus. All in all, a reasonable place that you can walk to the beach but come prepared.
Really nice stopping place when driving through California. Clean, well maintained park with a dog friendly area (no off leash area). Friendly staff and easy check-in. Downside for 5th wheelers is that the sewer, electric and water hookups are so far back that you have to be prepared for needing a little extra length. This is the second time we stayed there. Easy I-5 access and grocery store in the adjacent shopping center.
Wonderful experience from check-in to departure. VERY friendly staff with a clean, well laid out park. Even an enclosed dog area with multiple dog stations, with bags and disposal area throughout the park. Site were so level that we didn't even have to unhook for the night we stayed there. Indoor Pool and Spa and 24 hour shuttle service to the casino. Great experience. Would definitely head back.
Very nice website, which was a little misleading for the winter camping. We went in November, during the muddy season. Sites are not level and are full of mud. Our dog after running around for just a few minutes was coated in mud. We missed the lack of Sewer hookups on the site and the only dump station is one you almost have to crawl inside to get to. We have 36' fifth wheel and the first turn is too tight to make and all other turns are TIGHT. It was such a mud pit that we left and lost our deposit. I think non-rainy camping there would be nice. Minimal cell phone service and no internet, be forewarned.
