Lovely park near wine country. This is probably one of the quietest parks I've ever been in. There is also a shuttle and trail to the air museum (didn't use but saw it going through the park). Only complaint was that we could only stay one night since they were booked over the weekend. Would stay here again.
1. Agree with two reviews preceeding mine. The place is ok for a 1-nighter but we didn't sleep well. Probably over reacting but sometimes you just gotta trust your gut. 2. The maintenance guy, Bart, and neighbor Debbie were super friendly. We arrived late and both came out to help us right away and make sure we settled in fine and told us where we could park our tow rigs. 3. We were told to lock our doors and that sometimes cars just drive through the place. 4. Super close to six flags, which is why we stayed here. 5. Stayed one night and are moving to Marin RV Park.
Nice spacious park and very clean with friendly owners. Good sunset views. The dog walk area was large but pretty much just a tilled up area of the park; it would've been nice if this area was grass. We liked this park way better than the others in town.
This park is just off the main highway and about 5-10 miles south of town but the sites are very large with nice grass and a view of the mountains. Even though they were "closed" for the season as of 10/1/11 they had no problems with us staying for 3 nights. Very friendly and I'd stay here again. We cruised through the parks in town and liked this one the best.
Unfortunately, the Boulder area doesn't have much in the way of RV parks so it's really about picking the lesser of all evils. This is a very clean park neat to Golden but LOTS of rules = extra charges = expensive. The "dog walk" is pretty pathetic too but they do have some grass next to most sites.
