Nice COE campground in on Lake Wright Patman. There are 3 COE parks in the area which are all within several miles of each other. Nice employees and nice park.
The showers and restrooms were filled with daddy-longleg spiders, as was the campground. This is why I would not rate it higher than a 8. I would stay here again because it is a very nice, out of the way campground that is very quiet.
This is one nice place to camp. Buffalo and longhorn cattle roam around. Water is available at different places around the park so one can fill up tank. There is an interpretive center that is very nice for families and do not forget to go to Meers and grab a hamburger! You will not forget this place.
We took a visit to this park after visiting another park and we never found this park. We went thru Brazos Point and followed the 1 sign and after plenty of driving around we never found it. The posting of signs is critical and this place was poorly marked. We will not go back.
Nice park but limited sites for trailers over 26 foot. Nice park to tent camp and pop-up camp. Nice hiking trails and historic neat town close by. Looks like it was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
There is construction going on in the parking lot where you enter so you need to be careful. Big park with plenty of sites but it is a older state park and sites must be chosen carefully. Only a few sections where 26 foot trailers and on up can camp. Just pick your site carefully. The park signs are non-existent so stay on your toes when trying to find it.
Nice State Park with a variety of sites available. Plenty of water/electric and plenty of full hookups available. Mostly shaded sites; some were level and others were not. We have stayed here in our 29 foot 5th wheel and we would do so again
