We stayed at Jolly Roger for just one night, under the Passport America rate. The campground is clean, the manager is super friendly, and we wish our schedule would have allowed us to stay longer. We will return again for a longer visit next time.
We stayed here 14 days under our Encore Ready-Set-Go program through Thousand Trails and enjoyed our stay. Our first assigned site was very tight and a tree was blocking our rooftop satellite dish, so after two days I asked to move. The girl in the office gave me a list of available sites and we moved to one that was very roomy and had a nice view of the water. Power and water pressure were good, the pool area was very clean, and the staff were all very friendly. We never use campground bathrooms or showers because we are full timers and prefer the facilities in our motorhome. The entire Keys have a lot of sea grass washed up on every shore from Hurricane Sandy, so yes, there is an unpleasant smell in some areas. But that's not the park's fault, they have no control over Mother Nature. We would and will return here again.
They have some nice RV sites up front, but we came in under Passport America and were sent to the back, among long term mobile homes and park models. View out our front window was a storage lot full of old RVs, boats, and cargo trailers. Power and water were good. Trees blocked satellite dish.
We stay here often and are always impressed with the campground's condition and owners. Every year they do even more to improve it, constantly adding new sites, more amenities, etc. As for a previous bad review about the swimming pool, it is closed in September because it is not heated. When it use it is always well maintained. Easy access from the Indiana Toll road, lots to see and do in the area.
Excellent park with paved roads and sites, good electric and water pressure. We had a waterfront site, with a great view of Dickinson Bayou. Lots of birds right out our front window. The park is very clean, staff is friendly, and we rate this among the newest parks we have visited in 13 years of full-time RVing.
We stayed here under RPI at $10/night and decide to leave early because even at that rate this place is overpriced. Roads are very badly rutted dirt, site was a back-in on grass, fairly level, and power was good. Lots of ants everywhere, the bathrooms were dirty, and the wifi didn't work. Our Verizon cell phone and air card would not work at all. At 8 a.m. every morning a pile driver from a nearby construction site woke us up.This park need a lot of work and the previous owners really let it get run down. I'm not sure the current management is up to the task.
