I guess opinions of campgrounds are as subjective as anything else, because I just love this park. It has nice amenities, is relatively quiet, and is run by outstandingly friendly and helpful people. The individual bathrooms are very clean, and the club house is a great place to meet and get to know your neighbors. As a younger full-timing couple, we felt very welcome here. Yes, it is located in the more commercial part of town and has gravel roads, but it's an easy walk to the downtown area and park management does wet and grade the roads. The free WiFi can be a bit unreliable at times, but is usable in most situations. The park has mature trees and plantings, which is rare anywhere in the southwest. It's a great place to stay while exploring the charms of Las Cruces. We will definitely stay there again.

Park opened in spring 2005--very clean, new facilities, extra wide pull through sites, friendly staff, 24-hour commercial laundry, business center and pool at adjacent La Quinta Inn are available to KOA guests. Campground is pretty noisy due to proximity to I-40 and railroad. Gravel sites, absolutely no shade until the trees grow up in about 20 years. Good for a night or two if touring in the area.
