Totally agree with previous reviewer. Very nice place! Plus, the cable and secured Wi-Fi, which works very well, are included in daily rate. Only would add that because it's small, better make reservations ASAP, especially because it's a Passport America park (with a further discount for cash payment). Found the people camped here as well as the staff very helpful and friendly as soon as I arrived. Hope to come back again in future and stay longer!
Stopped here to visit friends at The Villages for a few days. Campground is just off I-75 N but back off the road enough so noise wasn't bad. For $20 Passport America rate, got free Wi-Fi and cable. Site was a level, long pull-through. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to make sure everything was set up and worked well, including helping to add a hose section to reach the sewer and find me a site to allow me to use my rooftop satellite. Small laundry room was clean and cheaper than most, and even though some machines were out of order, those working were fine. Small pool looked nice but weather too cold to try it. Would stop here again.
Agree totally with previous reviewer. This is a FABULOUS park. Could only stay two nights, but will stay at least a week next time. Only complaint was the small plane taking off from the adjacent airport that woke me up at 6 am...but can forgive that because I then took an hour long walk along the beautiful lake and lagoon with many different kinds of birds (and possibly alligators) to watch. Bikers will love the paths too. Laundry room is spotless, bright and modern. Was totally impressed with this huge and very lovely county park.
Nice park, just off highway and easily accessible. Everything worked well, site was level, and staff was extremely friendly and helpful with local suggestions (quilting museum is top attraction). Just stayed overnight and would do it again. Used GS discount.
Good overnight stop, just off I-70 (alto must take a parallel street to find it), about an hour from STL. Site was level and everything worked fine, alto free WI-FI was not always available or very weak. Very nice staff who helped with hookups in pitch black of night (no lighting in the campground at all). Didn't use bathrooms. Has pond for fishing. Would stop overnight here again.
Very nice park, just off I-24. Quiet and spacious. Just stayed overnight after long drive, so also agree with others that $35 for pull-through with unneeded full hookups (with 10% GS or FMCA discount) is a lot for a few hours stay. However, it does have free, good WI-FI, cable AND laundry. It could be used as a midway point to visit/tour both Chattanooga and Atlanta areas since it's halfway (about an hour) between both. Staff was friendly (free popcorn) and efficient. Would stay here again overnight if price was lower, or if staying longer than overnight.
We needed an overnight spot and were pleased to find this easily located fairground in Marshfield with water & electric & an inexpensive pull thru site on grass (but level enough that we didn't have to use jacks). Although under a large tree we still were able to use get TV reception via satellite and local antenna. We also saw non-grassy, non-treed sites on gravel and along the sides of fairgrounds roads. There was a large sign upon entry with fee and other campground info. We didn't use the toilets or showers, and arrived after the office closed. We didn't see a registration form anywhere, so just put cash into an envelope, with our info, and put it into the office door slot. The next morning was the beginning of Dairyfest, with a huge Mayor's Breakfast for the community held there. What a treat! Along with live music and giveaways, $5 bought us scrambled eggs, muffins, cereal, milk, cheese, coffee (and free ceramic cup), juice AND YES, ice cream with strawberry preserves. Later we visited Clyde Wynia's Jurassic Park metal sculpture gardens--a free MUST SEE destination for all!
