Easy in and out. Nice helpful management. Well maintained park. Beautiful views. Wonderful walking 2-3 mile paved path along the ocean bay. Wide sites. Decent WiFi. Limited restaurants in the area. There is some noisy boat repair next door but all is quiet after 5pm. I would recommend staying in the higher numbered premium sites.
Nice place to stay during the week. Lots of green space to walk and play. There is a playground. Weekends may be busy as this is the convention center rv park. The spaces are very close together and there are no showers/restroom for the park. Internet is available near the civic center. Walking distance to many great restaurants.
Very nice helpful owners. Park is clean and neat. Well maintained. Grass was freshly mowed and yard trimmed. They were not renting the adjacent side by side site and everyone just used it for parking. This was nice and gave everyone lots of room. Pads and roads are paved. This park is within walking distance of many stores and restaurants. We twice visited Cochrans for the catfish and chicken fried steak. We took our dog to the groomer at the front of the park. We did not have a reservation. We highly recommend this place. The park is near a fire station, hospital, and the highway. We did hear some occasional sirens. The big noise maker in the area is the catholic church nearby. It plays bell chimes/songs regularly during the day. Nice place to stay. We plan to return.
We planned to stay 1 night and now we are staying 6. Partly because the weather has been much cooler than normal. This park is fairly new, and clean. Extra wide sites and plenty of room. Pool, spa, exercise room. Wifi. We liked it all. The bathroom/shower was private and clean. The camp fee is very reasonably, ice is a buck and cold drinks in machine are 75 cents. Many nice restaurants within minutes and there is one on site if you don't want to go anywhere. Look at the ratings this place deservedly gets. Yeah, I will gladly stay here again.
I liked this park and would stay again. The park has a train track in front of it but we never heard a train at night. The freeway is close too but we could rarely hear traffic in the RV. The park only has a few 50 amp full service sites. Most sites are 30 amp full service. We wanted 50 amp and could not get it. The staff was nice and helpful. Plenty of room between rigs and lots of room to maneuver. The restrooms were roomy, private, and spotless. The park has a small store and plenty of info of things to do in the area. As you leave the park, you can stop and wash your windshield with the items they provide. That is a nice touch.
This is a nice, clean, well maintained passport and other memberships park. The staff and owners are the friendliest I have ever found. The staff never grew tired of helping us with information. They have an ice cream social and a fire a couple of nights a week. Beautiful sunsets. No problem with your satellite TV reception. The Wi-Fi in my RV was pretty weak. My neighbor and I went outside our rigs to get a signal sometimes. I would happily stay again.
Nice park. Staff was nice and treated you like a guest. The park looks new and extremely clean. You could tell they worked to keep it in top shape. We felt safe. Wi-Fi was great, even inside the RV. No problem with getting a satellite signal. The sites were not perfectly level but worked out fine. They have accommodations for livestock but we did not need that. I would stay again.
This is a nice park. We stayed several days. Cleanest restrooms I have ever seen. Park is clean and neat. Nice staff. Internet Wi-Fi was fast and dependable, plus it worked inside my rig. Located just a couple of miles from Glacier entrance and many national restaurants. There are few trees so my satellite worked great.
Nice park with nice people. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and well kept. The nightly rate does not include $3 internet reservation fee or the $4 per person daily entry fee. The park does not have internet in the park as advertised. We were told it has not worked in some time and it is unknown when it will be repaired.
The park has nice lake, pool, activities and many nice RV sites. There are also many sites that are just parking with hook ups on a parking lot a few hundred feet from the freeway. The freeway and nearby hospitals mean sirens a plenty.
The previous review for this year (2009) described the park well. It is a clean, safe park. Only the pull thru sites have cable TV. The $14 camp fee does not include the internet reservation fee or the daily use fee. I would like to add that the park does not have Wi-Fi as stated on-line. They said internet hasn't worked in months and they knew of no plans to fix it.
I like this park. There was tons of room. Super friendly rv hosts with a reasonable price. The lots are not paved and of course a train is in the area, but if you want a good place to park your rig, a block from the freeway, to get some rest, this is where I would go. It is a Passport park.
Friendly staff. Big sites with lots of room to maneuver the big rig. Clean park with nice pool and spa. Internet free in office and fast dependable wifi on site for $3 a day. We stayed here four days in July and were very satisfied. Plan to stay again. I would bring drinking water next time. Amarillo city water was not to my liking.
Very friendly management. Sites are near trout stocked river and pond. Nice campground and it would be my first choice for Red River. However, sites are rather close together. My RV slide was only about 3 feet from my neighbor's slide. I was nervous about the limited space for maneuvering my large rig, but I managed to get in and out without incident.
