This an old run down park with the majority of the occupants long term and very few sites for travelers. When we made the reservation we told them we have a 40' motorhome. When we arrived they put us in a site that had about a foot clearance from the trees on each side and we would have had to jockey it in and hope we could get it out. After seeing the site I requested a different site and they gave us a pull through, which was fine. The old fifth wheel across from us literally has mold growing on it. A lot of the long term residents have junk piles around there units. This is definitely not a park for class A coaches. Bathrooms were dirty and smelly as was the whole park from the trash dumpsters. Previous posts complained of poor Wi-fi, but found it to be good although I use a wireless booster that helps. Staff was nice and did accommodate us.
Rate reflects weekly rate. Very nice park located on the west side of Albuquerque just off of I-40. Camping World on the other side of the freeway from the park. Paved roads and sites with picnic tables in the new part, gravel sites on the older side. Park serves a continental breakfast in the morning. Office staff was very courteous and friendly. Only ding I have to give is the Wi-Fi is very weak, works well for a minute and then looses signal. We camped here in a 40' motor home and will return in October for the balloon fiesta.
Just an observation of PA members, they seem to complain about everything, want a half price rate, and a 10 star park. This was a very nice campground that is just on the outskirts of Loveland. The staff was very nice and courteous and always helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our site as the layout is a bit of a maze. Our site was level and we had plenty of room for our 40 foot rig. Nice playground for the kids. We would see deer in the mornings. The dirt roads could use a little maintenance, but considering it rained 9 out of 10 days we were here, not much could be done. We will stay here again.
This is a very nice quiet campground which is family owned. They were very helpful throughout our stay. There is a nice playground for the kids in the center of the park. It is a rustic park with gravel roads and sites. We had a pull through site that paralleled the interior road with plenty of room for our 40 foot rig. I would have given it a 10, but the bathrooms are dated and the entrance is a little tight coming off a busy Hwy 24. We would stay here again.
Price paid was 2 nights at Passport America rate and one night with a Good Sam discount. Entrance from the street does not look like much. Office employee was very friendly and thanked us at least three times for staying in the campground. Sites are spacious and the park is well maintained. Has a fairly new club house. It was very quiet and the long term guests keep their sites clean and clutter free. We look forward to returning.
They are trying hard to make this a nice park. They remodeled the bathrooms and there is all new electrical. Bugs every where in the bathrooms, both alive and dead. No shower curtains on the showers and shower curtains were used on the toilet area. When the electrical was replaced they ran the wiring over head and placed poles on the site. This made it a very tight squeeze for us and the slides. This is a perfect location to visit the Caverns since it is only 15 minutes away.
When we arrived and check in we were told to just pick any site we liked. The sites are very unlevel. We moved twice to get a spot we could level and then the electric did not work at that site. After moving for the third time we found a suitable site. Has nice new bathrooms, laundry room and game room. Once we were settled in this is an adequate campground for a one night stay.
This park was rather difficult to get to due to the construction on I-40. Once we arrived the site was very nice. We camped right on the Mighty Mississippi. The barge traffic was fun to watch. The bathrooms were dated but kept fairly clean. This campground does offer free laundry which is a nice perk. This campground is off the beaten path, but all the attractions, such as Graceland and down town are all within 15 to 20 miles. Well worth the drive to be out of the hustle and bustle.
I have to agree with the previous reviews. I am not sure only rating this campground a 10 does it justice. Bathrooms are spotless and I have to say this is the nicest campground we have ever stayed at.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Two Rivers campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The park have tours set up through Grayline Tours which made visiting all the tourist sites very easy. They also have tickets for the Grand Ole Opry on hand which saved time at the ticket office the night of the show. The showers and laundry room are all air conditioned which was a blessing since they had near record heat the week we were here. I would recommend this park.
We arrived on a busy summer weekend without a confirmed reservation. The campground we made a reservation at did not have anyone in the office upon arrival. We called Penmarallter and I talked to the owner. She told me she could fit me in. We arrived and she put me in the drive way of her private residence and we hooked up electric in the garage. The owners are the most accommodating people I have ever seen. They bent over backwards to help us. The next day we were able to move into a site. This is a beautiful campground that is well maintained and superbly ran. If I come back to this part of the county I will stay here and I will tell anyone coming to this area to stay here.
