We were only looking for a convenient place that was easy to get in and out of while passing through town, so didn't expect much and didn't get much. The directions to this place were confusing to start with and, if you are headed west on Hwy 54 (Kellogg), required that you take a U-turn to get to the entrance. If you're in a Class A coach and pulling, this is pretty much impossible, so we had to go past it and and find a place in the highway to cross over to the other side and come back to it. We had requested a pull through lot and were told all their sites were pull through. They fail to tell you that, you may be able to pull through, but you have to unhook if you don't want to block the road. I guess they are pull through,if you only need 46'. When we pointed out that having to unhook defeated the purpose of a pull though, the attendant said that 60' sites are very rare. We asked if they had anyone that could lead us to our site, since it was clearly tight and one wrong move could be a disaster and there was no one available. Aside from that, the site is sorely outdated and has an unsafe feel to it. There is a lot of junk in the park, like old house trailers that are falling apart. There is a very old building called the 'Storm Shelter/Shower Room' that was locked. We got out of there as soon as we could.

This is hands down the best RV park we've ever visited. Went for a week and stayed for a month. The sites are not pull through in order to take advantage of a spectacular view of Flathead Lake with mountain in the background, from the edge of one of the tiers facing the lake. But they are easy to get in and out of and the park is easy to find. Sites are large, facilities are clean and very well kept. Lots are available for sale or lease. Not all sites are paved, as owners usually like to select their own finishes, such as stamped concrete patterns. If you lease an owners lot, you'll likely get the best views and often additional amenities, such as outdoor kitchens, fire pits, dining and living areas. The staff is excellent; very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in this area. Glacier National Park, the Bison Range, lake activities and a sporting clays range are all nearby, along with several nice communities to explore. During the summer, the owners' little girl will come and walk your dogs for a small fee, if you are going away for the day. But perhaps the most unique aspect is the sense of community the resort seems to have achieved, with the owners holding regular social activities and going out of their way to ensure you meet other occupants and regularly checking to see if you need anything. We will probably be spending our summers at this resort from now on.

OK, this is not a destination RV park and it's not fancy, but this park is surprisingly well done in the middle of rural Kansas, attached to a small, 1900 population town. The owner is a widow, who bought a run down park and started renovating and is one of the most pleasant and competent RV Park pro's we've ever run into. The park has everthing you need. It's easy to find, easy to get into, the sites have plenty of room and easy to level. There is plenty of place to walk your dogs and there is an organic garden on site that you are welcome to pick from. The showers and restrooms are exceptionally clean and the shop is well stocked with practical and fun products. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. She used to be a full timer and was able to help us select the parts we needed to solve a plumbing problem we had. She also had a selection of DVD's and books in the shop. There is, also, a family steak house next door, with pretty respectable food, if you don't want to cook. All in all, a pleasant surprise after a long day.
