We camped here on a motorcycle and tent trailer on our way to Glacier and the Red Woods with another couple with the same set up. Seven hundred miles in the heat had us ready to stop by the time we got here. Check-in was "drop the money in an envelope". Make sure you have cash. We set the trailers up in the shade of a large tree on the west side and headed for the showers!! Showers/restrooms were very clean and, but wasn't too bad. Under normal circumstances the traffic sound from I-80 might have been an issue, but we were tired and had no issue sleeping till sun up. We would stay here again.

Paved entrance and good gravel roads and sites. Most sites are fairly level and will accommodate larger campers and trucks. It would be hard to ask for better or cleaner bathrooms and showers. A little dated but in good repair and very clean. We used this as a base camp to enjoy NW Ark on our motorcycle. As mentioned in another review, pets are not allowed in the storm shelter of which I am glad. I don't want to be confined with animal that could get aggressive! I like this rule. The hosts have owned this campground for 6 years and IMHO are destined to run it as long as they desire. Very friendly and helpful. Called us by our names on check in. I assume they tied the license plate and arrival time with our reservation, but a nice touch. The only thing that kept me from giving a perfect score is the gravel but that is a small deduction. We will definitely use this park again.

Pulled in here on a last minute decision to go camping. Seems this park is underutilized compared to most Missouri State Parks. Small campground but very adequate. Shady, we ran into several very friendly campers and the Host couple. Not too many places you are offered fresh tomatoes for supper! Nice hiking but not much else in the area other than the Pershing Home museum. We will go back often.

We stopped here on our motorcycle tour of the Redwoods after the state park (Patrick Point) which is right across the road was full up. Two couples of us with pop up campers behind our motorcycles (ours are very quiet) were given a very nice, although somewhat narrow, pull through site which we shared. That made the cost to camp ($25/couple) quite reasonable for this area. We were made to feel right at home and given free firewood to help stave off the late evening chill and to roast our marshmallows. Clean, reasonably priced, and friendly. Couldn't ask for much more.

Very nice, clean, park right on Hwy. 50. Even though right on the highway, noise was not an issue. We did not have any affiliations that would allow the discount, but the price was in line with what we would expect to pay for this type of park. Restrooms were very clean and more than adequate for our overnight stay. Host was very accommodating to a couple of weary travelers on a motorcycle with a pop up trailer. She assigned us a shady site which was great on a hot July afternoon. We will definitely stay here again next time through the area.
