This is the third time we have stopped there and they have continued to make improvements. Owners are friendly. We used Passport for the night 30 AMP pull threw site was $16.50. Walked the trails to the Crook River. Nice grass sites and level.
Sites need a lot of work leveling. One Motor homes front wheels were totally off the ground. We went to two different sites to find one we could get close to level in without raising the back wheels off the ground. Many sites on the small size that would only accommodate a rigs less than 28'. Upper area from the lake on the left side would be hard for a big rig to get into steep entry road and trees. TV reception at best fair to poor with 4 stations. Ranger came around to collect and when asked about the increase in camping fees was surprised that I knew they had doubled the senior price. Overall too much traffic in the park both vehicle speeding and golf carts(carts without any lights after dark). Several sites looked like they were there permanently. Will not make this a stop over in the future at present price with sites so unlevel.
Very nice camp ground. We used Camp Club for 2 day and regular price for the weekend. Staff is friendly. Great catch and release lakes for kids along with hiking and play ground. Good location near Cabela, MI, short drive to Toledo, OH and Ann Arbor, MI.
No one at the office. They have an envelope to place money in, then go find a site. Most of the pull-thrus are 50 AMP and most sites have meters for seasonal. Those seasonal on sites had clothes lines, some in need of cleaning and looks more like a old mobile home park then a campground. Bathrooms the only thing open and were not being kept up. For a Good Sam park it needs a lot of attention.
The rec room is presently closed for remodeling. Nice laundry room with new machines. Small friendly quite park with a mixture of retirees and working individuals. We are staying monthly at under $500 which includes full hookups and cable. There a few over night sites but call first since the office closes at 5PM and on the weekends.
A little hard to get to since there is a bridge repair going on. Very nice camp ground with friendly staff. Very clean and well kept. Very pet friendly and quiet. Good water pressure and clean bathrooms. We will stop here again.
Office looked like a junk yard. Had a pit bull tied outside the trailer barking. Were motorcycles and trucks with loud exhaust at all hours. Some permanent sites looked like junk yards with a lot of old rigs.
