We do not normally care for KOA Campgrounds, but this one far exceeds many RV Parks in general. This was our second visit this year. The campground, beginning with the entrance and into the area itself is excellent. The reception/check in area is impressive including the seasonal display wagon. What a nice touch. The check in procedure was efficient, friendly, and informative. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had all the necessary information. The WIFI signal was 5 bars. A great place overall. With respect to earlier comments regarding the restrooms, I checked them upon arrival and they were neat and clean; however, the next morning at about 7 a.m., some slob had made a mess.
This was an excellent well maintained large park. Definitely family oriented. The restrooms/showers were superb, clean, new, well maintained. The staff was very accommodating, even delivered the mail to the site. Great access to the major artery (Hwy 15) and the Gettysburg attractions. While the roads and sites themselves were gravel, they were in good condition.
The information provided by their (clever) website and the person taking the reservation was very misleading. It sounded more like an Outdoor Resort type of facility. The sites are sand/gravel and nothing is paved. It looks more like a work in progress with with a lot remaining to be accomplished. They are in the process of removing some of what look like derelicts. As stated in earlier reviews by others the sites are close together, extremely close together. If the park had been full we would not have stayed.
Really a nice park. Do not be intimidated when driving in it is big rig friendly. The owners are on scene with personalized service. Restrooms, showers, and laundry are OK, but need some renovation. This is probably the best rv park in the area.
A fine park and great location for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We were here for the Fall colors, not to be missed. Happy Holidays while a nice lay out, there were some tight areas for big rigs and considerable mud. The restrooms were few and far between. Only two were open while we were there.
An excellent park particularly this time of year. Close to the major tourist attractions. The park itself is nicely laid out with great views for most of the sites. While the park claims to have pull throughs, they are really tandem sites with two RVs. The site is only a pull through if no one is in front of you. The restrooms and showers while few and far between are well maintained.
A great Park. We requested a space with a southern sky access for the satellite dish and that's what we got. This is a large park with many different types of spaces which can accommodate any size/type of RV. If you want trees they are available, if not that is available, too. This is definitely a big rig site. Well maintained and managed and 4.6 miles to COSTCO. Also, a great location for visiting Charleston.
