It has a nice view and is a clean campground. We came here in early May and water lines were frozen in most of the park, which is understandable in Alaska in early May. They still charged full price but that was not a big deal for us. Our problem was with the attitude of the managers. They were not friendly and seemed to be overwhelmed with getting the park ready for summer. They mentioned more than once that they were "so busy" and "have so much going on." I was quite shocked at the behavior of behavior of one of them when I took my rig to the laundry room to get water. They had a long green garden hose and I told him that I would prefer to use my white water hose for filling my tank. He said in a pained way, "Everyone else is using this hose with no complaints." I told him that I didn't use garden hoses for filling my tanks. He grudgingly agreed to let me use my hose. I told him, "You are making it seem like I'm really putting you out just to use my hose." When I walked back to where the green hose was connected, not wanting to make him go out of his way to disconnect the green hose he came unglued. "What are you doing? That is private property." It's 2 feet from the laundromat! Then came the shocker. "Are you from Alaska?" he growled. "Yes," I replied. He shoots back, "That figures. You Alaskans have no respect for private property. You all think you can do just whatever you want." Quite a comment from someone from outside Alaska to a resident Alaskan on his own turf. Read some earlier reviews and you will find some similar comments. We won't be back!

Would have to agree with previous posts. Nothing special about the park itself, but the barbecue buffet, humor of manager and other guests made this a convenient and enjoyable stop. The food and hospitality made this a place I would recommend and return too.
