This park is right at the boat launch, with a small beach, making it very convenient to cool off. There is also a beautiful hiking trail, right along the water. We walked an hour each way and the trail continued, don't know how far. We rented a 'sea doo' from a vendor in Lake Havasu City and they delivered it to us at the park: very convenient for an extra $10. The park was clean and the sites were roomy.
This is a no-frills park (no bathroom or showers), but there is laundry and a cheesy miniature golf course and enough roadway to ride a bike around the park. The real draw here are the hiking trails, right behind our rig and that it's nine miles to Saguaro National Park. The sites are big and the park is quiet, but it's about a 15 minute drive to downtown Tucson.
This place is massive, a real village, and with that comes all kind of amenities. (2 pools, water aerobics, golf, horse shoes, pottery & jewelry making classes.) The sites were very large, enough room to have our towed car next to the rig, once we unhitched. The park was clean and quiet, the residents were friendly to those passing through, even offered free lemons from their tree. The park was convenient to downtown, and had a shopping center next door (grocery, restaurant, etc.).
