We spent two nights at this beautiful, rustic, shaded campground. This is the first campground we have given a 10 rating, but for campers like us who want a clean place out in the woods, it is well merited. Both the reservations and check in were friendly and efficient. The campground store is very well supplied, even including some meals (we had a fine breakfast there one day). The sites are really in the woods like we prefer, well spaced, level, with convenient utilities, fire ring/grills, etc. There is a friendly on-site host who welcomes new campers and otherwise ensures that all is ship shape. The connected lake is clean with a nice walking area. We met one family who had been coming here for decades: because it just is such a tranquil beautiful setting. We certainly will return to this gem of a country campground.
This park has shady, wooded sites that let you know you are in a forest - not a parking lot. Our site, like the substantial majority of sites at this park, was level and had easy access to full utilities. The office is friendly and prompt. There was a nice group meal offered, as well as evening fellowship fun. The pool and in-ground bouncer was popular. Some people were also swimming in the large adjacent lake with a floating slide.
Our area of this park had well maintained level pull-through concrete pads. Utilities were conveniently located. The office was helpful and open even later than advertised. They had wood delivered to our site after hours. Nice play ground and camp store. Showers and bathrooms were very clean and large. If we come here again, we will opt for the shady wooded sites that are being added now. Our area had little shade.
This is an outstanding RV park! Great shaded (or sunny) sites in beautiful area adjacent to large clean fishing stream. Although we choose to stay a little back from the stream side, many great sites are bordering the stream. Very hospitable park staff (owner and family are on location) who care about their customers (also dog friendly). As a bonus, it is an easy walk up to the picturesque town of Edinburg. We stopped by three very interesting and friendly businesses in town: Fran Romeo's (for chocolates and browsing), the Filling Station (for ice coffee and lemonade) and Carmella's (for a great full meal). We made new friends at each stop in town and we definitely will be back to Edinburg and the Creekside Campground!
