Big park, small sites, convenient location. Quite a bit of construction going on when we stayed, making a bit of a mess but not awful. The staff was friendly.
The setting of this park is very scenic. Grounds are kept clean and employees are friendly. We were in one of the up-front sites and found it quite nice. Wi-Fi was included in price, but signal was pretty weak. We also found that we had no cell phone service (Verizon) in the area. We arrived a day late due to mechanical problems. Not only did the owners let us changes dates without penalty, they volunteered a $9 refund since our original arrival date was a holiday. Overall, very pleased and would stay again.
The owners were very friendly. Spotless indoor pool and hot tub. A nice game/rec room, good-sized pull-thru sites, each with a privacy fence. The grounds are kept spotless and feature extensive landscaping. The Wi-Fi service was outstanding and comes at no additional charge.
This state park campground is very nice. The staff is extremely friendly and the bathroom/shower facilities are immaculate. There are nice walking trails around a lagoon and a visitor center with local entertainment on summer weekends. A word of caution though! If you are going to this campground to use the beach for swimming, forget about it. The beach is completly unusable due to smelly, sticky algae that covers the shoreline. An Internet search turned up news articles that indicate this problem has existed for at least ten years and is a hot local topic.
