The price reflects a 1 week stay rate, daily is currently $40. The park is perfectly located to explore Watkins Glen Village on foot. A Wal-Mart is a 5 minute walk and the staff are super friendly and helpful to visitors. Restrooms/showers were very clean. 50% of the park is seasonal and it gets fairly filled up during the summer season, advance reservations are a good idea. Sites (gravel) are level and adequate for any size rig. Its not a luxury park by any means but I rated it a ten on the basis of its cost/benefit for anyone visiting the WG area. They have multiple Wi-Fi channels and we had no service problems.
A nice CG for your Wall visit, very convenient to Wall Drug and Wall's main drag (about a 5 minute walk). Friendly staff, clean restrooms/showers and level sites. I can recommend the barber/beauty shop just across the street from the CG entrance. I'd stay here again.
This is strictly a convenient overnight stop, not a place you'd want to stay for any length of time (though there seems to be a number of semi-permanent residents). It is a good place to stop if you've just made a long run from the east before shooting across SD to get to the Black Hills area. Its right beside the main highway, has a decent convenience store/truck stop and the sites are all level gravel. There really isn't a pet area but there is enough grass on the fringes for dog business. Restrooms and showers were okay and their WiFi worked well. Their mini-restaurant serves some good trucker chow. I'd stay here again as an overnighter.
We camped here two different nights in a Class B on our way to and from the west coast. The campground is really excellent, ultra clean restrooms/showers, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, (who are RVers themselves). Has very level sites and it's setting is a really nice, tree shaded country environment with an outstanding area to walk and play with the dogs. They have a nice pool and the general park is very well maintained. We will always stop by here when we're in the area.
