We were assigned site E43, one of the newer close together gravel sites, for the same fee as the spacious concrete sites. The newer sites did not have picnic tables and our site had a fire pit just two feet from our door step. The tornado warning sirens sounded that evening. We went to the advertised storm shelter and discovered it could only hold a small fraction of the guests. The shelter air quickly became uncomfortable due to the lack of ventilation. Many of the concrete pad sites have steep exit and entrance ramps with many scrape marks. The dumpsters were overflowing. The remaining facilities were very good to excellent. We will not stay here again
Best priced campground in the area. Sites are close to level (I didn't need to drive up on blocks, just used the jacks), hosts are helpful and friendly, laundry had only 2 washers and 2 dryers, but was adequate for my needs. Wi-Fi is slow, about .40M download, but free for the first week. I have HughesNet satellite internet, so no problem. Verizon service is good. I posted the daily rate, but it is less by the week or month.
Excellent RV park that is off the beaten path. Very quiet and friendly family owners. I stayed here 3 nights at the Escapee rate. I will stop here again in the future. Road access from I 80 is very good using route V66.
Our site 21 was 6 inches off of level, requiring us to drive up on boards to get close enough to level for the leveling jacks to work without lifting the rear axle off the ground. Other sites appeared to be closer to level. There is a huge rise at the entry so the fiberglass front of our motorhome scraped the ground as we entered the campground. Scrapes on the asphalt indicated this is a frequent problem. The grounds were well maintained and the sites were clean.
Small family owned park. So quiet at night you can hear the river flowing over the rocks. This is our second visit and will be back when visiting family in the area. No activities at campground but a lot to visit in area. Really relaxing!
We enjoyed staying at this campground. Really quiet and peaceful. The laundry was very clean, the restrooms and showers were immaculate! The restaurant had some really good sourdough pancakes. People running park were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back here.
Written up in the Milepost as "one of the nicest campgrounds of the Alaskan Highway". Not! We payed $18 for a 15 amp electric hookup. Had to tie the electric plug into the outlet to keep from having it fall out. Our space was a mud bog. They put two other rigs in our area and they had the same problems. Private residents close by had people walking through our campsite all night. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
