For an overnight, this place is great! I would give it an 8.5 really. The sites took a little bit of leveling action but not bad. Right off I-40, good price for full hookups. People very friendly. It had a pool table if you like pool in the office area. Sites seemed fairly wide. Park was clean, had a SMALL pet area near the office. Propane for sale for $2.60 a gallon, so no ripoff there in my opinion. I don't think they had a playground. Place seemed tidy and neat. The staff reminded me to take my hose off since it would be getting below freezing at night. I will stay here every time I come through this area - value here.
I like this place, came back for a 2nd time. Nice views of the mountains from everywhere, and the KOA people are so friendly. I usually don't stay KOA because of price, but this place is lower. Could be the casino nearby. The sites are a bit narrow, but not usually full so that helps. WI-FI doesn't work all the time and is slow. A couple miles from everything but you can walk to casino to get food. Lots of long pull throughs. Nice to roam around in. Will probably come back unless want to try a different park. If the sites were wider and there was a table or something I would give it a 9, but the value is good. Wish I could give it an 8.5
I stayed here because of the good reviews, which haven't been wrong yet, except for now. This is the first time I have had a problem at any RV park, and at one rated so high. The park wasn't as good as I expected, cigarette butts on my site and just slightly trashy looking in general. Everything worked right, except the host was very rude to me in front of my wife and 16 month old. He was mad because I used a 50 to 30 amp dogbone adapter, which was not allowed. I messed that up, sorry and was very apologetic. He snapped at me and harangued me for calling him "bud", which I call everyone new, just a habit. He was older than me and was angry that I would dare call him bud. He ruined my night and did it with gusto in front of my family. Maybe he was having a bad day. From the moment I met him something seemed off but I shrugged it off. I want to give the place a one but that doesn't seem fair. I have been to 50 RV parks and haven't been treated this bad since my days as an enlisted man in the Navy. Good luck if you try this park, but don't call the guy in charge bud, because he isn't.
